Efraimson adds 800-meter 4A bi-district title

Alexa Efraimson added a title in the 800 meters to the 1,600-meter title won on Friday, helping the Camas girls to a second-place finish at the 4A bi-district meet in Kent on Saturday.

Efraimson won the 800 in 2 minutes, 6.03 seconds. Teammate Alissa Pudlitzke placed second in the 3,200 in 10:53.15.

Skyview’s Aubrey Ward-El won two events on Saturday — the shot put (42-10) and javelin (143-1).

Evergreen freshmen Jai’Lyn Merriweather and Dai’Lyn Merriweather went 1-2 in the 400 with Jai’Lyn winning in 56.41 seconds.

In the boys meet, Camas’ Ryan Gunther won the 300 hurdles in 39.68 seconds and Union’s Bailey King won the discus at 165-4, just ahead of Evergreen’s Brody Bagnall (151-9).
