The Clark College baseball team couldn’t overcome two rallies by Tacoma as the Penguins’ season came to a close Friday with an 8-5 loss to the Titans at the NWAACC tournament in Longview.
The Penguins finish the season with a 31-15 record.
Michael Gonzales, who was 2 for 4 in the game, knocked in Kyle Vanderkin with a first inning single to give Clark the early 1-0 lead.
Tacoma (38-7) would tie the game in the bottom of the first as Reed Johnson hit the first of his three singles for the Titans.
Three runs on three hits in the bottom of the fourth put Tacoma in front 4-1.
