Free suicide prevention training offered in B.G. in June

The Washington chapter of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention is offering free training for anyone older than 15 at an event next month.

The three-hour safeTalk training focuses on identifying people with suicidal thoughts and connecting them to suicide resources and intervention caregivers.

The free training is 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. June 7 at Battle Ground Methodist Church, 10300 N.E. 199th St., Battle Ground. Registration is required at http://bit.ly/1sWsEh7 by June 5.
