Marine band radio class slated Saturday

Registration is open for a marine band radio communications class on Saturday at the Clark County Public Works Operations Center, 4700 N.E.78th St., Building B-1.

Taught by the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary, the class is from 8:30 a.m. to noon. The cost is $10 per person and enrollment is limited to 12.

Kokanee fishing seminar set for June 3

A free seminar on summer kokanee fishing will begin at 7 p.m. June 3 at Pacific Northwest Sporting Goods, 212 N.E. 164th Ave. Suite 4.

Guide Cameron Black will be the guest speaker.

States to adopt summer chinook commercial season

Washington and Oregon officials will meet at 11 a.m. June 11 to adopt a commercial fishing season for summer chinook salmon in the lower Columbia River.

The hearing will be by teleconference.

Summer chinook sport season in the lower Columbia River is scheduled for June 16 through 30. Spring chinook sport season is open through June 15.
