Student honored by Scholars Recognition Program
Inga Opalinska, an 18-year-old exchange student from Poland, was recently honored by the Hudson’s Bay Branch of American Association of University Women for her achievements in technology. She attends Washougal High School.
AAUW’s Scholars Recognition Program honors young women who excel in mathematics, science and technology, and encourages them to continue their studies and careers in those fields.
A reception was held Sunday at Washington State University Vancouver.
“I think this is wonderful that WHS has chosen Inga for this achievement and we are so very proud of her,” said Heather Uhlig, her host mom.
