Nominees for high school spring sports athlete of the week, sponsored by Athletes Corner, for the week ending May 17. Voting will conclude at 8 p.m. Thursday with results published in Friday’s Columbian.

SAMMI HAMPTON, SKYVIEW TENNIS: Hampton didn’t drop a set in winning her third consecutive Class 4A district singles championship and leading Skyview to the team title.

TREVOR HUDDLESTON, WOODLAND BASEBALL: Huddleston pitched 10 innings, giving up one run and striking out 12 while picking up two wins in the district tournament. He was also 3 for 7 with two doubles at the plate.

NICOLE O’HAVER, PRAIRIE SOFTBALL: O’Haver went 11 for 16 for the week, scored the winning run in district playoff win over Kelso and went 5 for 5 in another district win over Mountain View.

KEATON SPILLER, HERITAGE TRACK AND FIELD: Spiller was part of four victories at the 4A district meet, winning the 400, 800 and 1,600 and running a leg on the winning 1,600-meter relay for the Timberwolves.

REILLY WHITLOCK, UNION GOLF: Whitlock shot an 80 and an 81 to beat Taylor Hartley of Battle Ground by three shots and win the 4A district championship at Lewis River.
