The Vancouver Volcanoes suffered their first loss of the International Basketball League season, falling to the Portland Chinooks 119-110 at the O’Connell Center on Saturday night.
Andre Murray scored 28 points for Vancouver.
“Portland is a very good team. We played defense in spurts, and that’s not a good idea with a team that shoots it as well as they do,” Volcanoes head coach Joe Navarro said.
Vancouver (5-1) gave Portland (5-1) its only loss of the season back on May 4. The teams will meet three more times this season.
Vancouver’s next game is at Olympia on Friday.
