In their first matchup, the Camas and Skyview boys soccer teams tied 0-0.

In their second matchup, the Papermakers and Storm tied 2-2.

In their third matchup, as if you thought there could have been another outcome, the two teams tied again, 2-2.

But this time, the outcome was decided on penalty kicks, with the Storm prevailing 4-3.

Now, do you want to see Skyview-Camas Part IV? Well, you’ll have to wait.

Based on bi-district and state tournament brackets, the earliest the Storm and Papermakers will clash again will be in the semifinals of the Class 4A state tournament.

With their win Saturday, the Storm earned the top seed to the bi-district playoffs and an automatic berth to the state tournament.

The top teams from the Greater St. Helens League, Narrows League and South Puget Sound League North and South Divisions are all protected in the bi-district playoffs this season, meaning they will all go to state.

Those four teams will play off on Thursday and Saturday for the top four seeds to state from the bi-district. Skyview will face Puyallup at 7 p.m. Thursday at Doc Harris Stadium in the first Storm’s seeding game this week.

As for Camas, the No. 2 team from the GSHL, the Papermakers now have to win two loser-out games to earn a state berth.

The first of those games comes at 5 p.m. Thursday at Doc Harris against the winner of Tuesday’s Todd Beamer-Kentridge game.

If Camas wins Thursday, the Papermakers will play another loser-out game on Saturday in Puyallup. If the Papermakers win that, they’ll advance to state as the No. 7 seed from District 3/4.

Yes, that’s right. The No. 1 team in the state and No. 8 team in the nation will advance to state as the No. 7 seed from District 3/4.

And what awaits them at state? Well, it’s a road trip to play the No. 1 seed from District 6 — Wenatchee or Moses Lake.

The upside to having to make a five-hour bus ride in the first round of state is that if the Papermakers survive they will host a quarterfinal game.

As for Skyview, it’s all about the Storm’s seeding. If they are No. 1, they will host first-round and quarterfinal games. If they are No. 2 or No. 3, they will host in the first-round, but travel in the quarterfinals. If they are the No. 4 seed, they will travel in the first round and quarterfinals.

If Skyview is the No. 2 seed, Skyview and Camas could meet in the semifinals. Otherwise, the earliest the two rivals could meet is in the state championship game.

Now, that would be worth seeing, if both teams can survive a long and winding road.
