Parents invited to drug abuse prevention event

BATTLE GROUND — Parents of middle school students in the district are invited to learn about drug prevention from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Chief Umtuch Middle School, 700 N.W. Ninth St., Battle Ground. The free event is geared for parents of younger teens.

Students should not attend.

Topics include current drug trends in the Northwest, signs and symptoms of drug involvement and understanding I-502 marijuana legalization.

The event is sponsored by Prevention Education, Battle Ground Public Schools. For information call 360-885-5430.
