Umpqua Bank has awarded the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra a $5,000 grant to support two in-school concerts this month at Skyview Concert Hall, 1300 N.W. 139th St.
The concerts provide information on instruments and music aimed at elementary school students ages 6 to 12. Students from Southwest Washington, including home-schooled children, can attend the two concerts, both May 30, which are not open to the public.
