Evergreen Public Schools moves to electronic documents

Beginning with the May 13 meeting, bulky board of directors agendas and documents that number in the hundreds of pages will be a thing of the past as Evergreen Public Schools moves to an electronic system called BoardDocs.

Board members and members of the public can now access all meeting materials online through this program currently used by hundreds of other governing bodies including Battle Ground and Vancouver public schools.

Although materials have been available online for several years, they always began as a paper document and then were converted to an electronic version. Now, all materials will be created and delivered electronically.

The benefits are reduced expenses and resources for the district and increased accessibility for the public.

The materials will be available before the board meeting at www.evergreenps.org. Click on the icon “School Board Agenda & Minutes.”
