BASIC TRAINING
Air Force Airman Randy L. Shields Jr., a 2013 graduate of Woodland High School, has completed basic training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio. He is the son of Randy Shields Sr. of Vancouver and Sarah Shields of Woodland.
Air National Guard Airman 1st Class James K. Steele, son of Jill and Rick Steele of Brush Prairie, completed basic training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, graduating with honors. He is a 2005 graduate of Prairie High School.
Army Pfc. Garren S.R. Ankney, a 2013 graduate of Skyview High School, completed basic training from One Station Unit Training at Fort Leonard Wood, Waynesville, Mo. He also completed advanced individual training, which included the military police specialist course. He is the son of Jan Koehler and Judy Ankney of Pocatello, Idaho.
