Vancouver Public Schools has announced administrative changes for the 2014-15 school year, subject to approval by the school board.
Three elementary principals have announced their retirements effective at the end of the school year. Scott Leary, principal at Lake Shore Elementary School, will retire with 25 years of service. Karen Leary, principal at Marshall Elementary School, will retire with 21 years of service. Kris Porterfield, principal at Minnehaha Elementary School, will retire after more than 32 years.
Starlet Heitz, associate principal at Roosevelt Elementary School, was named principal at Lake Shore; Bobbi Geenty, Walnut Grove Elementary principal, will be principal at Marshall; and Troy Winzer, associate principal at Felida and Martin Luther King elementary schools, will be principal at Minnehaha. Esteban Delgadillo, associate principal at Columbia River High School, will be principal of Walnut Grove Elementary.
Jodi ViDelco, principal at McLoughlin Middle School, will become principal of Lewis and Clark High School. Rob Duncan, principal at Lewis and Clark, will be associate principal at Columbia River High School.
