Barnes named chairman of Labor Round Table

Ed Barnes has won appointment as chairman of the Labor Round Table of Southwest Washington.

Barnes is replacing Philip Parker, who died April 2 of a heart attack.

Barnes, a former member of the Washington Transportation Commission, has worked as an electrician and was business manager of International Brotherhood of Electrical Engineers for 12 years and president of Columbia-Pacific Building Trades Council for 18 years.

Other members of the Labor Round Table board are Dave Ritchey, Roy Jenning, and Gay Lincoln.
