A driver was injured Sunday afternoon when her vehicle veered off the road, hit an unoccupied parked car and slammed into a house near the roundabout intersection at Northeast 137th Avenue and 49th Street in east Vancouver, according to police.
The woman, who likely experienced a medical problem just before the crash, sustained injuries that were serious but not life-threatening, Vancouver police Sgt. Mike Davis said Sunday. Nobody else was hurt in the crash, he said.
At about 4:40 p.m., the car apparently plowed through a fence at 4719 N.E. 137th Ave., traveled through the property’s yard and driveway, and hit the parked vehicle before it came to rest with its front bumper crunched into a window of the house.
The driver’s name was not released Sunday.
