Nominees for high school spring sports athlete of the week, sponsored by Athletes Corner, for the week ending March 29. Voting will conclude at 8 p.m. Thursday with results published in Friday’s Columbian.

DAKODY CLEMMER, MOUNTAIN VIEW BASEBALL, pitched six shutout innings, giving up three hits and striking out nine in a league-opening win over Kelso. He also had a two-run double.

JAMES PHILLIPS, PRAIRIE BOYS TRACK AND FIELD, won three events at the Tiger Invitational, the 110-hurdles (14.95 seconds), 300 hurdles (40.21) and long jump (22 feet, 7 inches).

MITCHELL PINNEY, HOCKINSON SOCCER, scored all three goals in a 3-2 league-opening win over Washougal, and added another goal in a win over Kelso.

CONNIE WANG, CAMAS GOLF, shot a 40 at Camas Meadows to take medalist honors in a match with Prairie.

AUBREY WARD-EL, SKYVIEW GIRLS TRACK AND FIELD, won the shot put (42-5.5) and the javelin (127-4) at the Tiger Invitational.
