The Hudson’s Bay Eagles are looking for a new football coach.

After two seasons on the job, Sylvester Green Jr. is no longer the team’s head coach. Bay’s athletic director, Stoney Myers, confirmed that the position is open and has been posted.

“I’m looking for someone who can handle all the things that go along with coaching, all the things that go on with the re-building of a program,” Myers said.

The AD hopes to find a candidate with a “little more” head coaching experience, someone who understands the challenges at Bay.

Myers noted that some of the athletes at Bay are new to football, so the coach will have to spend more time on technique prior to getting to the playbook.

The next Hudson’s Bay football coach will be the fourth head coach since the 2010 season.

Hudson’s Bay is moving from the Class 3A Greater St. Helens League to the 2A GSHL this fall.
