A Ridgefield man who was injured in a Wednesday afternoon crash in Castle Rock remains hospitalized, but his condition was upgraded Thursday.

Robert Huling, 72, was driving a Mazda MZ3 south on Interstate 5 about 3:30 p.m. Wednesday when his vehicle was struck by a northbound Nissan Sentra.

The driver of the Sentra, Angelina Puris of Centralia, had lost control of the vehicle and crossed the median, according to Washington State Patrol.

Both Huling and Puris were injured. Huling remains in satisfactory condition at PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center.

Puris was taken to Legacy Emanuel Medical Center in Portland, where she is listed in fair condition.

Puris was cited for driving off the roadway.
