Washougal –Washougal kids showed off their burgeoning culinary craftsmanship during a healthy sandwich-making competition. The fourth annual Sodexo Future Chefs Elementary School Culinary Competition was held March 13 in the Washougal High School kitchen. Gause Elementary student Justin Ledbetter won the grand prize with his “devil salmon sandwich” recipe. The goal of the competition is to mix knowledge of nutrition with the joy of cooking.
