Community Home Health & Hospice will celebrate the construction start of a 10-bed care facility in the Salmon Creek area with a by-invitation-only ceremony this week.

The $7.4 million project will be operated by the nonprofit Community Home Health & Hospice, which has offices in Vancouver and Longview. The project’s 6-acre site is at 3100 N.E. 136th Circle, about three blocks east of Legacy Salmon Creek Hospital.

Plans for the facility include a 23,000-square foot first phase hospice care center with 10 beds. A second phase will add an additional 21,000-square-feet to include a community conference center, memorial garden and staff office space.
