Yeah! Our first 70-degree day for most of us, and my warmest since Oct. 22. I would say spring has sprung. Too bad it couldn’t last a bit longer.
Rain returns today with steady rain or showers upon us each day this week into the weekend. The heaviest rain will be toward the end of the weekend when we get a tap of subtropical moisture. Some of it will wet California too, which is good news.
Somewhat good news up north: Although Snohomish County will get rain, it may be spared the heavy tropical rain as we and our friends to the south will take our turn. Still, an inch or two of rain is possible in those foothills, aggravating the wet soils. We keep our thoughts and prayers for those involved in the mudslide tragedy near Oso.
It looks like spring break activities for Oregon students will turn indoors with the cool and blustery weather the remainder of the week. At least the weekend was superb — and Monday, too.
