The Parks Foundation of Clark County is accepting nominations for the Florence B. Wager awards through April 1.

Established in 2011, the annual award recognizes leaders for outstanding contributions to local parks, trails, and recreation programs. Awards will be presented at the Parks Foundation’s annual meeting and luncheon June 3 at the Hilton Vancouver Washington, 301 W. Sixth St.

The three award categories are: the Leading Eagle, recognizing a community leader who has led initiatives and significantly impacted parks and recreation programs; the V-Formation Flyer, recognizing a spirited volunteer who goes above and beyond; and the Tributary, recognizing an innovative parks professional.Nominations packets are at www.parksfoundation.us/awards.

Packets can be sent to Parks Foundation of Clark County, P.O. Box 61424, Vancouver, WA 98666 or emailed to cheri.martin@parksfoundation.us. The awards honor Wager, who died in August 2012 at age 84 after years of parks boosterism and community service in Clark County.
