New York is still quaking.
Out is Mark Sanchez and in is Michael Vick.
Chris Burke of SI.com wasn’t surprised Vick landed with the Jets and went as far as to write that Vick could beat out Geno Smith for the starting job. He notes it’s clearly an upgrade that can only help Rex Ryan’s offense.
As for Sanchez, his $2 million roster bonus due on March 25 sealed his fate. That and a tendancy for turnovers.

When you open the season in Australia (Sydney to be precise), you probably weren’t up at 3 or 4 in the morning (Pacific time) to see the last out of Game 1 between the Dodgers and Diamondbacks.
Playing games that count in another hemisphere isn’t how to start a season.
The real pomp and circumstance for all of MLB will still be reserved for March 31.

The billion dollar dream is over.
A second day of upsets ended any chance of someone having a perfect NCAA tournament bracket in Warren Buffet’s $1 billion challenge. It was a favorite that provided the first blemish on the final three people’s brackets in the Quicken Loans contest on the Yahoo Sports website.
All three had ninth-seeded George Washington beating Memphis. The Tigers won 71-66.
“If Warren Buffett wants to donate the (billion) to our university, we will take it and use it in good company,” Memphis coach Josh Pastner said.
