Average price for gallon of gas rises to $3.60 locally

The average price of gasoline in Vancouver climbed this week to $3.60 a gallon, up from $3.52 a week ago, according to AAA Oregon/Idaho.

From a statewide perspective, Washington’s average price of $3.61 is the nation’s 16th highest statewide average, up from 18th place in last week’s survey. Oregon’s average jumped seven cents to $3.59, the 18th highest in the nation.

Oregon and Washington were among the 10 states where prices have increased by at least a nickel in the last week, AAA said. The national average for regular unleaded was $3.52, up by three-and-a-half cents for the week.
