TACOMA — A Tacoma furniture store is paying $72,000 to customers to settle the score from a Super Bowl promotion.

Dave Harkness of Harkness Furniture has been a Seahawks season ticket holder since 1977. He decided to run some Super Bowl-related promotions, including free furniture for a kickoff return for a touchdown.

When Percy Harvin did it against Denver, Harkness owed 65 customers.

He told KIRO-FM it’s worth it.

Harkness is showing the new Super Bowl DVD at a Monday night party where he’s handing out checks to customers. They’re also sending a giant “thank you” card to Percy Harvin.
