Family and friends of Sergey Bondarchuck are planning a candlelight vigil tonight to honor the life of the 18-year-old Fort Vancouver High School senior.

The vigil begins at 6 p.m. at the high school, 5700 E. 18th St.

Bondarchuck was killed last Friday in an accident on Interstate 5. According to the Washington State Patrol, he was driving southbound at 11:27 p.m. when he attempted to change lanes, but lost control of his 1997 Acura. The sedan went off the right side of the road just north of Northeast 179th Street and struck a tree.
