RIDGEFIELD — Ridgefield Mayor Ron Onslow expects the city to pick a new city manager as soon as Monday afternoon.
The city has finished conducting interviews and background checks for the candidates, and Onslow said a decision could be announced after the City Council meets for an executive session at 4 p.m.
The city is down to two finalists for the job since Port of Woodland Executive Director Nelson Holmberg dropped out to accept a position with BergerABAM. They are Clark County Commissioner Steve Stuart and Chris Sutter, the assistant chief of the Vancouver Police Department.
The new manager will replace Phil Messina, who resigned after less than a year on the job. The salary range for the position is $105,000 to $125,000.
