Four people were arrested on suspicion of drug-related crimes Thursday morning at a house in the Battle Ground Lake area as part of an ongoing drug trafficking investigation.
The Clark-Vancouver Regional Drug Task Force and Southwest Washington Regional SWAT executed a search warrant 6 a.m. at 21615 N.E. 259th St.
The task force began investigating the residence after getting complaints from neighbors about heroin being sold out of the house, according to the Clark County Sheriff’s Office. During the search, detectives found small amounts of heroin and methamphetamine, drug scales, drug paraphernalia, a handgun and approximately $8,700 in cash. They also seized a stolen car that had already been stripped for parts. Discarded syringes were scattered throughout the house, police said.
“In this particular case the drug activity was pretty obvious,” said task force Cmdr. Mike Cooke. “Customers would park down the street at the side of the road and then walk several hundred feet to the house. Then they would walk up to a window where the hand-to-hand transaction would take place.”
