Now that the Olympics are done, it’s time for athletes and sponsors to wring every last penny out of the event.

ABC says it will air figure-skating specials with Sochi Olympic gold medalists Meryl Davis and Charlie White among the performers.

The network said Wednesday that veteran Olympian Brian Boitano also will skate in the series of four specials hosted by Kristi Yamaguchi and Michael Weiss.

Ice dancing pair Davis and White recently were announced as contestants on the upcoming season of “Dancing with the Stars.”

Talking Points wonders why Johnny Weir, with his fashion sense, hasn’t signed up for “Project Runway.”

Should college spring football games even happen?

Pittsburgh coach Paul Chryst decided to scrap his team’s annual spring game in favor of more practice with his players.

“The thought behind (the decision), honestly, is to get one more good workday out of them,” coach Paul Chryst told the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette earlier this week. “Most, if not every spring game I’ve been a part of, you really end up sacrificing a lot.”

This would never fly in the SEC, where programs draw 70,000 fans and donors for boozing and schmoozing.

Talking Points advocates that SEC teams play their Georgia States and Furmans in the spring, then stock their schedule with real nonconference opponents in the fall.
