A woman robbed a Columbia Bank branch Thursday afternoon in the Orchards area and fled in a distinctive small car, according to the Clark County Sheriff’s Office.
The robbery was reported at 3:39 p.m. at 7500 N.E. 117th Ave. The woman approached a teller and demanded cash, but did not display a weapon, according to the sheriff’s office. The teller handed over an undisclosed amount of cash and the woman ran out.
The suspect is believed to have left in a two-door Smart car, a type of microcar, that was white with navy blue stripes around the doors on each side, according to the sheriff’s office.
Surveillance footage captured images of the suspect, who’s described as a woman in her late 20s to early 30s with an average build, about 5 feet 6 inches tall with dark brown hair. She had her hair tied into a ponytail and was wearing dark sunglasses, a dark sweatshirt and dark pants at the time of the robbery, police said.
