Woodland’s 92nd annual community celebration hosts its biggest events today with the Woodland Planters Days Parade at 11 a.m. Visitors also can explore the carnival and Saturday Market; visit the firemen’s barbecue from noon to 3 p.m.; cheer on the participants of the 47th annual frog jump competition at 1:30 p.m.; enjoy the 12th annual bed races at 4 p.m.; and attend a car cruise-in at 7 p.m. followed by a concert. The festivities continue Sunday with all-day car shows and a talent contest at noon. The carnival will be open from noon to 5 p.m. Sunday.

The Vancouver Summer Adventure program will kick off with nature activities in Marshall Park. Children can learn about insects and backyard wildlife, plant a vegetable start and do nature crafts. Vancouver Summer Adventure is a partnership of numerous local organizations to provide children activities throughout the summer.
