The 18-year-old woman who died in a single-vehicle crash in the early hours of Thursday was identified as Lera Larue Crump of Washougal.

Clark County sheriff’s deputies were notified of the crash on the 36800 block of Southeast Sunset View Road about 12:28 a.m. Thursday, but Sgt. Fred Neiman said the crash could have happened between 10:30 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Responding emergency personnel found Crump deceased at the scene. She had been ejected from the vehicle and was not wearing a seat belt, according to the sheriff’s office.

Speed and alcohol were possibly involved in the crash but the agency’s traffic investigation unit is looking into the crash.

Washougal School District officials said that Crump was a former student at Washougal High School, but was not among this year’s graduates.
