Skyview Storm Success Academy wins award

The Storm Success Academy at Skyview High School has received the 2014 Supported Students Award presented by the Washington State Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development.

The Storm Success Academy is a school within a school for juniors and seniors who are credit-deficient but dedicated to graduating.

A counselor and two advocates are assigned to the Storm Success Academy, providing a 1:28 ratio of mentorship and guidance per student. This team works with the students to develop customized and personalized educational plans, as well as the social and emotional supports needed for them to navigate roadblocks to education.

The address for Skyview High School is 1300 N.W. 139th St. It is part of Vancouver Public Schools.
