A man who was apparently shot Monday by his father during a murder-suicide remained in critical condition Friday.

Matthew Luster remained in the intensive care unit at PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center.

According to a report released Thursday by the Clark County Medical Examiner’s Office, Danny Lee Luster shot and killed his wife, Sandra Luster, and the family’s dog, and shot Matthew Luster in the abdomen at their home, 13007 N.E. 52nd St., in Vancouver’s North Image neighborhood.

Danny Luster was later found dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound, according to the report.

Neighbors heard the struggle and gunshots about 5:20 a.m. and called 911. Vancouver police officers responded and are continuing to investigate the incident.
