Vancouver — WSU Clark County Master Food Preserver volunteers are hosting a summer jam and bread camp for kids.
The program teaches kids 9 to 12 years old how to make berry freezer jam and yeast bread.
Kids will clean and prepare the berries to make freezer jam. Then, they will make a loaf of bread in a bag, ready to take home and bake. Each child will get two to three containers of freezer jam to take home as well.
Volunteers are hosting four classes:
o 10 a.m. to noon June 25 at Bi-Zi Farms, 9504 N.E. 119th St., Vancouver.
o 1 to 3 p.m. July 11 at the 78th Street Heritage Farm, 1919 N.E. 78th St., Vancouver.
