Burnt Bridge Creek — After spending the year learning about their local environment, a fifth-grade class at Burnt Bridge Creek Elementary School helped improve their community by planting shrubs and a “wish tree” on campus.
Students in Jaime Rosa’s class worked on the project on May 30. They all wrote down wishes and planted them along with the special tree.
In previous months, the students helped remove invasive blackberries at Whipple Creek Park and tested water quality at the school’s namesake creek.
