Wine auction raises big bucks for YWCA

Classic Wines Auction, a major charity fundraiser based in Portland, recently presented the YWCA Clark County with a check for $285,810.

The money was raised at various food and wine events throughout the year, culminating in a gala auction held March 1 at the Oregon Convention Center in Portland. A record 960 people attended, and nearly $3.5 million was raised.

The YWCA is a downtown Vancouver nonprofit agency that specializes in supporting women and families that have been affected by domestic violence, homelessness and other disadvantages. Visit http://ywcaclarkcounty.com to learn more.
