Day-use fees will be waived at many federal recreation sites on Saturday and again on June 14. State parks day-use admission also will be free on Saturday, Sunday and June 14.
The fee waiver on Saturday is in recognition of National Trails Day and on June 14 for National Get Outdoors Day.
National Get Outdoors Day activities are scheduled at the Fort Vancouver National Historic Site from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on June 14.
Among the locations in the Gifford Pinchot National Forest where the fees are being waived include the Coldwater Lake and Goose Lake boat ramps, Trapper Creek trailhead, Sunset campground picnic site and Ape Cave, Ape Canyon, Lava Canyon and Lahar sites on the south side of Mount St. Helens.
