AMERICAN ASSOCIATION OF UNIVERSITY WOMEN

The Hudson’s Bay Branch of the American Association of University Women awarded Certificates of Excellence in STEM subjects–science, technology, engineering and mathematics–to 50 local high school junior girls at a May 18 reception at Washington State University Vancouver. The juniors honored were:

WMEA/WIAA STATE SOLO and ENSEMBLE CONTEST

Kaleb Burris, a junior at Evergreen High School, placed third at the WMEA/WIAA State Solo & Ensemble Contest, April 26 in Ellensburg. Burris, a baritone, competed with 24 other state-level baritones in his division. He lives with his family in Battle Ground.
