Three people were injured in a Tuesday morning crash on Interstate 5 in Vancouver, according to the Washington State Patrol.

A WSP bulletin said the crash occurred about 7:30 a.m., in the freeway’s northbound lanes near Milepost 3, when Vickie K. Wilson, 59, of Vancouver attempted to change lanes, and the 2010 Kia Soul she was driving struck a 1996 Ford Explorer driven by Elizabeth R. Brown, 25, of Vancouver.

Wilson and two passengers in her vehicle — Cynthia J. Johnson Lopez, 55, of Battle Ground and Jenelle R. Pen, 43, of Vancouver — were injured. Wilson was treated and released from Legacy Salmon Creek Medical Center. Johnson Lopez and Pen were treated and released from PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center.

Brown was not injured.

The WSP issued a citation to Wilson for an unsafe lane change. Brown was cited for driving with a suspended license, the WSP bulletin said.
