A Vancouver man appeared Monday in Clark County Superior Court on suspicion of having and dealing child pornography.

Anthony Gilbert Ramirez, 22, is accused of uploading image files on Google servers of minor girls engaged in sexually explicit conduct, mostly with adult males.

He is scheduled to be arraigned Aug. 8 on charges of two counts of first-degree possession of images depicting a minor engaging in sexually explicit conduct and one count of second-degree possession of images depicting a minor engaging in sexually explicit conduct; two counts of first-degree dealing of images depicting a minor engaging in sexually explicit conduct and one count of second-degree dealing of images depicting a minor engaging in sexually explicit conduct; and two counts of first-degree viewing of images depicting a minor engaging in sexually explicit conduct and one count of second-degree viewing of images depicting a minor engaging in sexually explicit conduct.

Judge Robert Lewis held Ramirez on $25,000 bail and appointed Vancouver law firm Grecco Downs to defend him.

Google Inc. reported the upload to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, according to a court affidavit. The report was eventually passed on to the Vancouver Police Department, which obtained a search warrant to obtain subscriber information and content for Ramirez’s gmail address. Investigators found at least three images depicting minor girls, ages 6, 8 and 12, engaged in sexually explicit conduct, according to court documents.

“Anthony further stated that he intentionally saved the images to his email account so that he could access them at a later time,” wrote Vancouver police Officer Jason Mills in the court affidavit.
