Strong day for Evergreen Storm track at Junior Olympics

Bailey King of the Evergreen Storm Track placed second in the discus in the boys 15-16 age group Saturday at the USATF National Junior Olympic Championships in Houston.

His throw was 171 feet, 10 inches.

Emily Wilson placed sixth in the 3,000 for girls 13-14 to earned All-American status.

Other top performers from the Evergreen Storm were Madison Peffers (12th in high jump, girls 13-14), Annika Collins (14th in javelin, girls 15-16), AJ Miranda (15th in high jump, boys 13-14) and Kaylee Merritt (16th in 3,000, girls 13-14).
