Craig places 2nd in 1,500 for Evergreen Storm team

The Evergreen Storm Track Club concluded its stay in Houston with a couple of second places at the USATF National Junior Olympic Championships.

Savanna Craig placed second in the 1,500 meters for girls ages 15-16 on Sunday with a time of 4 minutes, 46.26 seconds.

Trey Knight was second in the discus for boys ages 11-12. His throw was 133 feet, 10 inches.

Also Sunday, Ethan Tonder placed 10th in the javelin for boys ages 15-16.

In all, Evergreen finished the meet with eight All-American performances, one national champion (Craig in the 2,000 steeplechase), four silver medals and a bronze.
