A man’s body was found hanging from a tree Tuesday afternoon near the southbound lanes of Interstate 205 in Clark County’s Green Meadows neighborhood.

The discovery was reported as a suspicious death just after 3 p.m., according to 911 dispatch logs. Washington State Department of Transportation workers found the body while clearing brush about 100 feet north of Northeast 63rd Street on the west side of the freeway, according to Clark County sheriff’s Sgt. Duncan Hoss. The body had been there for quite some time, and the death appeared to be a suicide, Hoss said.

The Washington State Patrol, Vancouver Police Department and the sheriff’s office all responded to the incident.

The body was turned over to the Clark County Medical Examiner’s Office.
