The Lewis River Little League senior baseball all-stars from Woodland are Washington state champs.
Lewis River defeated Richmond Little League of North Seattle 4-2 on Thursday at Shoreline. Details from the game were not reported.
Senior baseball is for players ages 13-16.
It is the first state baseball title for Lewis River since 1989.
Lewis River, which went 4-0 at state, advances to the West Regional, which begins Sunday at Ontario, Calif.
The winner of the regional moves on to the Senior Little League World Series in Bangor, Maine, beginning Aug. 9.
