Blazers release portion of preseason schedule

The Portland Trail Blazers released their preseason schedule on Thursday afternoon, featuring six tune-up games in October before starting the regular season.

The Blazers will open the preseason in Salt Lake City at EnergySolutions Arena against the Utah Jazz on Tuesday, Oct. 7.

Their home preseason debut will be against the same Utah Jazz team featuring fifth overall pick Dante Exum on Oct. 9 at the Moda Center. They will also face Chris Paul, Blake Griffin and the Los Angeles Clippers at the Moda Center on Oct. 12.

The Blazers will have three preseason home games but will announce the details of the third game at a later date, per the release.

They will close the preseason on a three-game swing against the Denver Nuggets, Los Angeles Lakers before wrapping up the exhibition season on Oct. 24 against the Clippers.

October 7 at Utah Jazz at EnergySolutions Arena, 6 p.m.

October 9 vs. Utah Jazz at Moda Center, 7 p.m.

October 12 vs. Los Angeles Clippers at Moda Center, 6 p.m.

October 21 at Denver Nuggets at TBD, 7 p.m.

October 22 at Los Angeles Lakers at Citizens Business Bank Arena (Ontario, Calif.), 7:30 p.m.

October 24 at Los Angeles Clippers at Staples Center, 7:30 p.m.
