As Clark Regional Emergency Services Agency undergoes an accreditation assessment next month, it welcomes public input. People can leave comments by calling the 911 dispatch agency at 360-992-6274 on Monday, Aug. 4 between 1 and 3 p.m. Comments are limited to 10 minutes.

Those who wish to submit written comments about CRESA’s ability to comply with industry standards can mail them to the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies Inc. at 13575 Heathcote Blvd., Suite 320, Gainsville, VA, 20155.

Assessors with the commission will consider the comments as part of its examination of the agency’s policy and procedures, management, operations and support services. The process to gain reaccreditation is voluntary, but considered a recognition of public safety communications excellence, according to CRESA Director Anna Pendergrass.

Accreditation lasts three years, during which CRESA must submit reports about its continued compliance with industry standards. For more information on the 219 standards that the agency must comply with to maintain accreditation call the commission at 800-368-3757 or email calea@calea.org.
