A fifth wheel trailer was destroyed in a fire in Brush Prairie Sunday evening and a pet cat that lived inside is missing.

Clark County Fire District 3 responded to the fire reported at 7:42 p.m. at 16214 N.E. 152nd Ave. and found fire coming out of all trailer’s windows. Firefighters were originally told that a man may still be inside, but the occupant was found uninjured.

Firefighters extinguished the blaze, which had extended to a garage adjacent to the trailer. The trailer was a total loss but crews stopped the fire from causing major damage to the garage.

One of three cats that lived in the trailer is missing.

Vancouver Fire Department and Clark County Fire & Rescue assisted at the scene. The Clark County Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating what caused the fire.
