Boy, 15, suspected of 12 car prowls, burglary in Battle Ground

A 15-year-old boy suspected of committing 12 vehicle prowls and a residential burglary all in one night was arrested Friday.

Battle Ground police Sgt. Tim Wilson was on patrol in the 1800 block of Northwest Fourth Street when he observed suspicious circumstances that led to the arrest of the boy, a Battle Ground resident whose name was not released.

The boy was arrested on suspicion of 12 counts of vehicle prowl, residential burglary, felony-level second-degree theft and minor in possession of alcohol. Police said that all the instances occurred on Friday night.

Battle Ground police said that their investigation into the case is ongoing and that investigators are looking at other vehicle prowls that have occurred over the last several months.
