The driver of a vehicle possibly involved in a two-vehicle crash on Interstate 205 apparently fled the scene and dumped the vehicle at Ellsworth Elementary and fled on foot, according Washington State Patrol Trooper Will Finn.

Law enforcement was dispatched to a crash on northbound I-205 just north of Mill Plain Boulevard at 1:37 p.m.

Finn said that witnesses pulled over on the side of the highway witnessed a yellow sports car almost hit them. When the bystanders followed the sports car, the vehicle apparently tried to get away by attempting a U-turn to go the wrong way on the Mill Plain onramp, Finn said.

In doing so, the vehicle was involved in a T-bone crash with a separate vehicle, Finn said. The yellow sports vehicle then continued traveling south in the northbound lanes and took the offramp to Mill Plain, which is just south of the crash scene.

The yellow sports car was then located at Ellsworth Elementary School, just south of Mill Plain Boulevard and east of I-205, but it was abandoned, Finn said.

Police in the area are searching for a suspect, described as a white male in his 20s wearing a T-shirt and dark blue jeans, according to the scanner.

No one was hurt in the crash, Finn said.
